FORME is a network project dedicated to the national and international valorisation and promotion of the entire Italian dairy sector.

The objectives are:
✔ Increasing the value perception of Italian cheeses
✔ Building a system between producers, associations and institutions
✔ Improving knowledge of products and the territories from which they originate
✔ Promoting sustainable models that take into account animal welfare and the environment
✔ Creating a culture of quality
✔ Increasing sales
Inspired by the spirit of FORME, several other projects have emerged, enhancing and expanding its mission:
In 2019, Bergamo, with the Cheese Valleys of the Orobie Alps, was designated a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy
In 2019, Bergamo hosted the World Cheese Awards, marking the first time this event was held in Italy in 32 years
In 2021, Bergamo, along with Parma and Alba, established the Italian Gastronomy District, uniting the three UNESCO Creative Cities for Gastronomy.
In 2022, the "Tipicamente Uniche" project was launched, bringing together the Ascom (Association of Traders) of Alba, Bergamo, and Parma to jointly promote their regions, starting with their typical products.
In 2019, B2Cheese – From Milk to Market was launched, becoming the only international B2B fair dedicated to the dairy industry in Italy. On September 25th and 26th, 2024, the third edition of this fair will take place, marking an unmissable event for creating value for the entire Italian dairy sector and beyond!

PREVIOUS EDITIONS

The event is now in its eighth edition and is organised in Bergamo, which boasts the European record for cheese PDOs: 9 of the 50 national PDOs are produced in the province.
